The Android 14-based Samsung One UI 6.0 update is expected to arrive in the coming months. A new concept has made the wait even more exciting. The owner of the concept, who has reimagined One UI according to his personal preferences, has managed to go viral on social media in a very short time.
What will Samsung’s One UI 6 design look like?
The One UI 6 concept video grabs your attention with stunning 3D animations. Key innovations include opaque lock screen notifications, a reorganisation of Samsung icons and a new music player widget on the lock screen.
There are also some animated changes to Samsung’s shortcut icon, which allows users to quickly switch between apps.
While some of the changes on display are visually striking, we don’t know if they were deemed necessary by Samsung. For example, we can see that the designer has enlarged the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggles. While this looks good in concept, it may not have the same result in practice.
OneUI 6.0, based on Android 14, is expected to be first seen on the Galaxy S23 series. There are some claims that the beta programme for the Galaxy S23 series will start in the third week of July. However, the fact that the software has been seen on Samsung’s servers may indicate that an announcement will be made in July.
We can target late July and early August as the release date for the One UI 6 beta. The previous beta package was released in August 2022.
With the new One UI, we can expect a much more useful interface. Samsung will also be changing some of the system icons and the lock screen.
